As educators for over 36 years, we understand that all students have different needs and wants. Learning to speak Spanish should be highly communicative, enjoyable, educational and affordable. IMAC has been an institution of integrity in Mexico for decades and the type of facilities we offer to our students areof considerable quality. We are one of the most competitively priced Spanish language immersion programs in Mexico.

Our policy is to conduct classes with smaller numbers of students per class which ensures our students of the one on one support they may need and also that their teacher will have the time to thoroughly listen and respond to them throughout the learning process.

The immersion process continues even after the classes have finished. Our students are strongly encouraged to maximize their education in learning to speak Spanish by attending our Multimedia Lab an additional hour daily. This brings the number of hours of learning to speak Spanish to 25 weekly (20 hours of teacher instruction and a recommended minimum 5 hours of FREE lab time). Currently, we have over forty computers available during business hours that we are equipped with enhanced Spanish language software and internet capabilities that are alsovery helpful when learning the language and can be used for reference material as well. These new software packages allow the student to develop grammar, reading, listening, writing, and pronunciation skills on an independent basis during his or her time of study here in Guadalajara. In the lab, our students also have FREE access to Internet and e-mail, so they can stay in touch with friends and family while in Mexico.

In addition to the FREE lab time, students are welcomed to come to our evening cultural exchange group supervised by one of our instructors. On some evenings students will watch a movie or a video and a related conversation will follow. There are nights when the teacher will select a prepared topic and the students will interchange their ideas about that related topic. All of these free organized sessions willprovide our students with a stronger foundation in the learning process.

We also offer our students the opportunity to take FREE guitar lessons! The only requirement for a student to join in this event is that they bring their own guitar. This activity is offered once a week to all students regardless of skill level. The ambiance of this setting is informal yet private and gives the students a lively, natural and entertaining occasion where they can practice speaking Spanish.

Our homestay program is of great helpforlearning to speak Spanish. Our school offers to place only one student per family, thus assuring full immersion in the use of Spanish while being at home. Besides improving oral fluency, this program also promotes a greater understanding of the culture of Mexico.
