The Mexican Department of Education has Accredited us
for Over 35 years

Our main goal is to provide our students with a solid instructional basis for learning Spanish. Our teaching methods and unique communicative style make learning Spanish easy, engaging and fun. Classroom activities focus on being able to hold real life conversations in real life situations. All four skills of the Spanish language are covered (speaking, listening, reading and writing), but fluency is the focus. We find that many of the students that come to our school to learn Spanish have a structural knowledge of the language, but have trouble in understanding and carrying fluent conversations. This is where a study abroad experience can be most beneficial, studying and being immersed in a language where it is natively spokenare invaluable toolsfor becoming fluent.

Another important goal when learning a language is accomplished through our programs throughimmersion in our uncommercialized culture in beautiful Guadalajara. It is wonderful to see foreign students learning about true Mexican traditions and enjoying contact with our friendly people.

Learning Spanish at IMAC is an exciting experience that anyone interested in learning Spanish should take advantage of. Our unique teaching structure lets the student learn Spanish in a natural environment where they are encouraged to express themselves in the target language. This instruction is further reinforced by their daily contact with the language in and around the city.

Our school is firmly established and widely known. The Mexican Board of Education has accredited us for the past 33 years. We ensure that particularly good attention and care is taken with our students andthat we provide forthem the finest quality intensive programs that focus on real life situations.

In addition to the intensive in-class time, students have the opportunity to spend unlimited time working on the interactive Spanish language programs that we have installed in our computers at our multimedia laboratory. We also offer free guitar lessons once a week, as well as, a wonderful enhancing language exchange group in the afternoons where students will watch a movie or a video and a related conversation will follow. Other nights the teacher will select a prepared topic and the students will interchange their ideas of that related topic. These activities are offered to our students FREE of charge. Besides the classroom time, students are able to learn Spanish by participating in these free activities.

Group classes have a maximum of 6 students per class. Our small class size will enable you to maximize your time, get more one on one time with the teacher and therefore increase your ability to learn. The group courses consist of 4 hours of class per day, from 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Plus an additional hour of lab for a total of 5 hours of instruction.
These courses focus on reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of the Spanish language, and follow an established course content structure. We have new Spanish courses beginning each week.

Private classes can be designed for a student’s specific needs. Our private classes can be used to accentuate certain areas of Spanish that a student would like to learn. We also offer specialty courses for a variety of careers:

  • Spanish for Business and Finance. Spanish for Medical Personnel. Spanish for Teachers. Spanish for Social Services.
  • Spanish for Law Enforcement.

With so much demand for Spanish in the work place, students find that learning Spanish can help them advance in their careers.

Our teachers are all qualified professionals. All have a university degree, most in Spanish literature. Each member of our staff is committed to making the student's time enjoyable as well as educationally productive. A total immersion program wouldnot be complete without our teachers support and dedication to your experience here.
